For Unfair™, Daniel van Straalen took some time to study his personal algorithm and discovered his interest in the field of popular culture. Often, these themes include very honest approaches to subjects that are not yet or in the process of acceptation by mankind. Van Straalen will share some of his thoughts and wonders about the world we live in while making use of his ‘stupid muse’ as a guide for presenting the work.

Background Daniel van Straalen (1987) is a Dutch artist who lives and works in The Hague, The Netherlands. Van Straalen studied at the Dirty Art Department of the Sandberg Instituut and graduated in 2012 from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. His works have been exhibited at various art spaces such as Stigter van Doesburg, Amsterdam, NEST and Durst Britt Mayhew gallery, The Hague and museums such as Kunstmuseum Den Haag and Bonnefantenmuseum, Maastricht.
